Free Office Software

Do you ever want to have students turn in assignments electronically?  Do you find some do not Microsoft Office?

There is an alternative and it's free.  OpenOffice.org has a great suite of software for virtually every type of operating system and it produces compatible documents.

I highly recommend using Google Docs, which is web based software similar to microsoft Word. You do not have to download any software. A Gmail account gives you access and you can save your work and have it accessible anywhere. There is also spreadsheet software.
